We’ve hit the later end of December which means the World Cup is over (well done Argentina!) as is our newsletter, this one being our last for 2022.

It is a great time to reflect on the amazing year we’ve had, and we look forward to continuing to offer you support in the new year. Thank you for your partnership, your IT issues and all the laughs in-between. We can’t wait to see what 2023 has in store!

Office Hours

Changes to Office, now Microsoft 365

Microsoft have introduced a new name and icons to your favorite tools and content. Now with new ways to help you find, create, and share your content, all in one place.

The all-new Microsoft 365 lets you create, share and collaborate all in one place with your favorite apps. Read more about the changes here.  


Windows 11 22H2 is here!

Microsoft released a major feature update to Windows 11 for the first time since its launch a year ago - it's available from Windows Update now and called Windows 11 22H2.

The update brings a raft of enhancements to Windows, including faster search, tabbed windows in File Explorer, changes to Snap layouts so you can more easily work across multiple Windows and better support for touch. If you’re someone who uses a lot of apps, you can now have an overflow area of the taskbar.

Supply chain issues are here to stay for the immediate future.

As the entire global supply chain continues to experience immense pressure because of stresses caused by COVID-19, transportation shortages, as well remote working schedules.

Please know Technology Tree are working hard to provide you with the products you need as quickly as possible but remind you to plan ahead with your needs to ensure there is no delays to your business plans.

 


Windows Tip of the month - Create folders for your apps in Start

Keep what's important close by grouping your pinned apps into folders. Select and drag one app onto another to create a folder.

REMINDER!

Windows Users
With the new Windows 11 22H2 being released, our managed clients will see this automatically flow through for update in the coming days. Service desk is available to assist with pushing down the update for all others.

Patch Tuesday: Microsoft regularly releases software patches usually every second Tuesday of every month for its software products. Please make sure you apply and restart you computer this week to have these updates applied to your device. For those of you who we managed under a service agreement we will be monitoring and will be in touch if they’re not being applied.

How to update: Allow yourself at least 10 – 15 minutes to fully shutdown and restart your system. This ensures patches are applied, this can also address (and solve) some problems you may be having with your system. You can also manually check by following steps that can be found here.

Apple Users

Mac users: the latest version of macOS is 13.1

iPhone users: the latest version of iOS is 16.2

iPad users: the latest version of iPadOS is 16.2

Apple TV users: The latest version of tvOS is 16.2

Apple Watch users: The latest version of watchOS is 9.2
